The lawn care contractor

For a business, use its registered name, including "LLC" or "Inc." if it has one.
Used for written notices under the agreement.

The customer

For a business, use its registered name, including "LLC" or "Inc." if it has one.
Used for written notices under the agreement.

The property and service areas

Choose every area the regular visits cover. Anything not chosen is outside the contract.
For example, "the strip between the sidewalk and the street, and the lawn around the community mailbox. Do not mow the wildflower patch behind the shed."
For example, "about 6,000 square feet" or "roughly half an acre."

Tasks, standards, and materials

Choose everything the regular price covers. Services priced separately can be added as add-ons on the pricing step.

Schedule, frequency, and weather

"No" means the service runs for a season with a first and last day.
Leave blank to let the contractor choose the day and keep it consistent.
With a per-visit price, a skipped visit is simply not charged. With a monthly or season price, the fee does not change for a skipped visit.

Prices

Up to four, for example aeration, mulching, or a one-time clean-up. Enter 0 if the regular price covers everything.
Prices cannot change during a season. This is the notice for a new price in a later season.

Invoices and payment

Enter 0 if payment is due on receipt. For a season price paid in installments, this applies to invoices for add-ons and other extra charges.
"Yes" adds a clause letting the contractor charge a card or bank account the customer puts on file when each invoice is due.

Access and customer responsibilities

For a locked gate, a loose dog, or a lawn full of furniture. Leave blank if the contractor will not charge for a wasted trip.

Equipment, crew, and hours

"Yes" lets the contractor send another crew that follows the same standards. "No" limits the work to the contractor's own crew unless the customer agrees in writing.

Damage and insurance

Counted from the visit on which the damage happened.

Ending the contract

Anything paid in advance for time after the end date is refunded in proportion to the days left.
For example, where to leave the gate key, a rule about parking the trailer, or a discount for referrals.

Governing law

Usually the state where the property is.
