The notice periods Wyoming law sets before a landlord can file for eviction, as LeaseCraft read them in the statute, with the conditions and exceptions that go with each. The guided form prepares a pay-or-quit, cure-or-quit, unconditional-quit, no-cause or holdover notice with Wyoming already selected.
Wyoming notice periods
Each period is the one LeaseCraft's record of the statute holds. Read it with the conditions under it: some periods are minimums and some apply unless the lease sets another. "Lease controls" means the record holds no statutory period for that situation, and "No pre-suit notice" means it holds no notice before filing. The source column shows the law and the date LeaseCraft read it on the official site (most recently 2026-09-27).

What the Wyoming statute says
Unpaid rent: 3 days
- Minimum-late requirement: FED lies against tenants 'after a failure to pay rent for three (3) days after it is due' (W.S. 1-21-1002(a)(i)).
- Notice to quit: the party desiring to commence an FED action must notify the adverse party to leave; 'The notice shall be served at least three (3) days before commencing the action' (W.S. 1-21-1003). The statute prescribes no pay-or-quit alternative or cure right.
- Service: by leaving a written copy with the defendant, or at his usual place of abode or business if he cannot be found (1-21-1003).
Lease violation: 3 days
- No statutory cure/comply-or-quit notice. Violations of renter duties or prohibited acts (W.S. 1-21-1204, 1-21-1205) are FED grounds under 1-21-1002(a)(vi), subject only to the 3-day notice to quit in 1-21-1003.
Ending the tenancy without a chance to cure: 3 days
- All FED grounds (holdover, nonpayment 3 days after due, violation of 1-21-1204/1205 renter duties) require only the 3-day notice to quit (1-21-1003); no cure opportunity is provided by statute.
Ending a month-to-month tenancy: Lease controls
- No Wyoming statute prescribing a notice period to end a month-to-month tenancy without cause was found in Title 1 Ch. 21 Arts. 10 and 12; the Wyoming Judicial Branch landlord-tenant guide likewise addresses only FED grounds. The lease governs; after the tenancy ends the tenant is a holdover subject to the 3-day notice to quit (1-21-1003).
Tenant staying after the lease ends: 3 days
- Tenants 'holding over their terms' are an FED ground (1-21-1002(a)(i)); the 3-day notice to quit under 1-21-1003 applies before filing.

Preparing the notice
The form asks for the tenancy, the kind of notice and the dates, and the notice ends with a Certificate of Service to record how you delivered it. Beside the finished notice you get a Wyoming checklist of the period, form and delivery rules LeaseCraft recorded. The period in the notice is the one you choose; where LeaseCraft has verified the Wyoming period and your deadline is too soon, the document is not prepared until you move it.
