Questions about the General Service Agreement

Many arrangements where one person or business performs services for another for a fee, such as IT support, tutoring, event help, or bookkeeping. Cleaning and consulting work have their own, more specific agreements. This agreement is not designed for home improvement, home repair, or construction work, or for services that need a professional license.

Yes. Choose an hourly rate with an optional limit on billable hours, a flat fee for the whole job with an optional deposit, or a set price per visit, session, or item. The payment terms change to match.

Added work is handled through a written change order that both sides agree to before the work starts. You choose whether added work is charged at the same rate or quoted separately.

You can include a rework period, such as 30 days, during which the service provider fixes faulty work at no extra charge. It is in addition to any rights the client has under the law.
